Both artists, Heiman and Espinosa, initiate a stage in their career, hence the title of the exhibition. In order to avoid cliches, the invitation had its own take on the concept of initiation: Besides presenting portions of their work, both artists were asked to submit photographs of themselves at the initiation of their career. Small bits of information – relevant, irrelevant and irreverent – surround their anatomies, making this a fun to read and memorable invitation.
